A/V Instructions for Terrill Auditorium

  1. Turn On the Sound Mixer, which is located in the auditorium at Terrill. The On Button is located on the back side on the right, near the plug. Mixer must be set to Layer B by pushing the button in the bottom left of the board.
  2. Turn on the Big Red Switch located in the Sound Panel backstage left, meaning on the actual stage. (Left being if you are On Stage facing the audience, inside the cage.)
  3. There is a drawer in this same panel that has microphones and cables if there is not one already set up. You want to plug it in one of the ports in the front of the stage. Any of the ones labeled WallP 1, “”2, “”3, or “”4, are fine.
  4. BEFORE YOU START YOUR PRESENTATION - Make sure that the microphone and projector are at the volume you want. You adjust them using the respective Fader on the Sound Mixer. Only touch the gray fader. Everything else is preset.
  5. If you are using the Projector, connect to Apple TV using your iPad or Macbook using the Screen Mirror Function. This will be in the shortcuts of your iPad, on the same section as WiFi or Brightness, or in the top right corner of your Macbook using the icon that looks like two switches next to the date and time. When you activate Screen Mirror on your iPad or Macbook, the Projector will turn on. Roll down the screen with the switch on the stage.
  6. Sound for the projector should be controlled on the device you are casting from (iPad or Macbook). It will be easier that way. If you do need to make a bigger adjustment than what the device will allow, you can use the labeled fader on the Sound Mixer.
  1. Turn Off the Big Red Switch in the Sound Panel Offstage Left. This must be done before the Sound Mixer is turned off for the health of the system.
  2. Turn the Projector off using the remote. Roll up the projector screen with the switch on the stage.
  3. Press the Shutdown Button on the LED screen on the Sound Mixer. The console will think for a few seconds, and then tell you it is okay to press the physical button on the back of the machine.
  4. Take the Microphone and cable and put them back in the Sound Panel.
