Installing macOS Monterey

updatepolicy MacOS Monterey is now available for all staff computers.
Keeping your district laptop gets you access to the latest tools and software available to staff as well as helping to keep the district's technology and data secure.
MacOS Monterey can be installed via self service and in this document we will go over the steps to install MacOS Monterey on your district Mac.

NOTE
The install can take over a half hour to complete and should be done with the power adapter plugged in


By default Self Service can be found in your dock as pictured above. It can also be launched by clicking the “Self Service - Mac” link on the left hand panel of this wiki page.

The installer for macOS Monterey can be found in the Updates section of Self Service. Click the Download button to begin the download.


Install macOS Monterey will download to your Applications folder as pictured above
For more information on locating installed apps on your computer please see the following wiki article: Where are my apps?


The app will guide you through the installation process.

During this process you may be alerted that you do not have enough space on your computer to complete the installation.
