Sound System / FrontRow Setup

Pendant mics allow you to project your voice over the sound system in your classroom. Please make sure to charge these pendants in between classes and in the afternoon so they are ready for use when needed. Make sure that the charger is plugged into the correct port on both the pendant (or charging stand) and the back of the sound system unit.

On the side of the pendant there is a slider to turn the pendant on and off. The pendant must be off to charge.

The large black button in the middle is to mute/unmute the pendant mic. The receiver box will automatically pick up the signal from the pendant when it is unmuted.

In order to charge the pendant, you should have a cable like the one pictured below coming from the receiver box. One end of this cable plugs into a port on the back of the receiver box, while the forked end allows you to charge up to two pendants at a time. Please note that the receiver box needs to be on for the pendant to charge.

If you do not have one of these cables hanging from your receiver, you may have a charging stand(pictured below). The pendant has metal contacts on the back, so lay it flat onto the charging stand's pendant-shaped cutout.

If your pendant mic is no longer holding a charge please replace the battery. Replacements should be available in the main office or media center of your building. If there are none left please open a Helpdesk ticket and we will send you a battery and restock the main office.

This type of audio cable can be used to connect your computer to the sound system found in your classroom. A cable with this connector at both ends can be plugged into the headphone jack of your computer and the pendant mic for your sound system allowing you to play sound from your computer anywhere in your classroom.

These sound systems have A and B knobs to control the volume of up to two pendants on different channels. Additionally, they have a knob to control the volume of devices connected via auxiliary cables.

Pendants will only charge while the receiver box is powered on(green power light) or idling(yellow power light). If the box is off(no power light) the pendants will not charge.
