A pop-up should appear asking for credentials. You can use username **spfguest** and the password is the current month and year, e.g January2025 If you do not get the pop-up, open a web browser such as Chrome and type http://example.com into the URL bar. That should prompt the pop-up to appear. You can find more information here. ==== Connecting a Laptop to a Projector ==== District classrooms are equipped with projectors that utilize VGA connectors. This means that for most modern laptops you will need an adapter. Many Windows and Apple laptops will have HDMI or USB-C type ports on them, so you will need either an HDMI to VGA adapter or USB-C to VGA adapter. For more information on district connector types please see our wiki page here. Below you will find steps to get your laptop connected. - Turn on the projector - Plug the VGA cable into your adapter - Plug the adapter into your laptop If you do not have an adapter, please reach out to the district person organizing the event and discuss the equipment you will be bringing and what connector types that equipment has. The district organizer should then put in a Technology Helpdesk ticket at least one day in advance so that we can provide any requested equipment. ==== Getting Sound ==== District classrooms are also equipped with sound systems. To play sound, locate the pendant microphone in the room. See our wiki page here to see what they look like. There should also be an aux cable. Plug the aux cable into the microphone and the other end into your laptop. This will send the sound from your laptop through the speakers in the room. ==== Troubleshooting ==== ** Airplay isn't working: ** Airplay is not available on the boyd network and presenters will be unable to use it. Please connect directly using the VGA cables ** Cannot connect to byod network: ** Please see our documentation here ** Projecting a Blue Screen: ** Please make sure that all cables are securely connected. If they are, please check the source on the projector, it should be Computer-1 or Computer-2. ---- If you have issues that are not covered by the documentation please visit the Helpdesk.
